Order of Increasing Pensions Affected 1,209,135 People
Yesterday the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev ordered to raise the base of all types of pensions by 17.6% - up to 100 manats ($ 128).
The law will come into effect on September 1 of this year. On 1 September 2010 the size was made 85 manats. The beneficiaries also include National Heroes, martyrs and their families, veterans and people with disabilities, including war and work.
At today's press conference related to this event, the chairman of the State Social Protection Fund Salim Muslimov stated that the order will affect the overall 1,209,135 people. It will not affect government officials, military personnel and some of these categories of people (63,431 people), whose pensions are regulated individually by the law "On labor pensions". Total registered in the country 1,272,566 pensioners.
According to the State Social Protection Fund, 1 million 90 thousand (100%) of the recipients will receive a premium of 15 manat, pensioners, some of the other categories (except for Disabled Group N1) and the extra charge will be for 15,580 recipients of 120% of the base portion, around 19.5 manat. Disabled persons of group 1 (7763 recipients of 200% of base) will receive a bonus of 31.5 manats.
The basic part of the pension for the families of National Heroes of Azerbaijan is 200 manats (30 AZN), the families of martyrs in defending the territorial integrity of the state - 185 manats (AZN 27.5), combat veterans waiting + 16.5 manats. The basic pension of war veterans and invalids of the third World War will increase by 28.5 manat, disabled war veterans group 1 to 37.5 manat, group 2 - 31.5 manats.
According to Muslimov, all kinds of allowances until the end of the year will require an additional 73.2 million manats, which is technically solvable problem at the expense of the budget surplus SSPF.
He noted that the current level of the basic part of labor pensions in Azerbaijan ($ 128 including yesterday's presidential order) in third place in the CIS - after Kazakhstan ($ 185) and Belarus ($ 129).
Recall, from July 1, 2011, according to the "State program of development of the pension insurance system in 2009-2015," the principle of a unified pension system.
