After a three-month break, the privatization of state property again resumed. Sixty five state-owned enterprises and objects exposed were put forward for the privatization. Today State Committee for Property (SCP) has announced that in the course of privatization the nvestors are given new opportunities.
Investors are offered shares of 25 joint-stock companies, 2 non-residential premises, 28 enterprises and objects in Baku and regions of the country, as well as 10 vehicles. Companies represent different sectors of the economy.
For the first time since 2000 the information on privatized enterprises and facilities is provided by the portal www.privatization.az both in Azerbaijani and English languages.
The SCP prepared a detailed information about the enterprises to be privatized, placed in this portal photographic materials. Committee announces that a few companies will be put up in the time ahead on privatization. The novelty of these auctions is that they exhibit objects evaluated not on the inventory and market value.
The SCP appealed to the community to participate actively in the process of privatization. It should be noted that at present we are working on the development of the third State privatization program. The current program was adopted in August 2000. --08D--
