Russian bombers in Iran, and missiles on the Caspian Sea

The Russian Ministry of Defense has received the consent of the Iranian government to use the air base Hamadan for flights to Syria, and bombing the  LIH positions, he reported today February 16 TV channel "Russia 24" reported  on July 16. The Iranian media confirmed this message, noting that the deployment of aircrafts in Iran will reduce flight time by 60%.

Previously, "Interfax" reported that the Russian Ministry of Defense appealed to Iraq and Iran to allow  the flight of cruise missiles in their airspace. Such authorization has been received from the governments of both countries and the launching of missiles "Caliber", will take place in the near future from the waters of the Caspian Sea and the Mediterranean as part of military exercises.

The maneuvers of the Russian fleet in the Caspian Sea began on August 15 with the participation of 20 ships, including missile "Dagestan", "Tatarstan" and others. As expected, today ships will pass by the Azerbaijani sector of the sea, and will arrive to the Iranian shore, where launches will be made.

Last year these same ships carried out rocket attacks on Syria from the Iranian sector of the sea. In November, 2015  from the positions of the LIH was released 18 cruise missiles at targets in the provinces of Raqqa, Idlib, Aleppo, Deir ez-Zor.

At the same time strikes from cruise missiles "Caliber" were inflicted with a Russian diesel-electric submarine "Rostov-on-Don" of the eastern  part of the Mediterranean Sea. -02D-
