Record Level of Profitability of T-bills Reported
The December 27 Baku Stock Exchange auction on placement of state T-bills for a period of 1 year recorded a record level of profitability - 20.99% per annum.
The BSE informs that the volume of orders for T-bills purchase in the amount of AZN 10 million was AZN 14.7 million. The Ministry of Finance received 8 million 383.9 thousand manat from the sale of these T-bills. The weighted average yield of discount bonds amounted to 19.47%
The same day, the Ministry of Finance also placed 182-day T-bills with a par value of 10 million manat. Applications of investors for their purchase amounted to 18.3 million manat. The weighted average yield of discount bonds amounted to 18.22%, while the Ministry of Finance revenue was 9 million 173.6 thousand manat. ----08D

A trilateral meeting of the foreign ministers, transport ministers, energy ministers, and heads of customs services of Russia, Iran, and Azerbaijan is set to take place soon to discuss the progress of the Rasht-Astara railway project, a key element of the International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC).
