Registration of Unemployed Carried Out Electronically
Baku / 07.04.20 / Turan: The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population has begun to register unemployed persons for the subsequent provision of lump sum payments to them.
According to the agency, the registration of unemployed is carried out exclusively in electronic order, since the doors of the Employment Centers are closed due to restrictive quarantine measures. Registration of unemployed is carried out through the portal www.e-sosial.az. To enter the portal, it is enough to enter the FIN-code of the identification card.
When issuing a one-time payment, the principle of targeting, as well as the family income of applicants, will be taken into account. A special mechanism is being developed for this. “After the completion of this process in the coming days, one-time benefits will begin to be paid non-cash, that is, the transfer of funds to the bank accounts of the unemployed.
The unemployed will receive benefits at the level of a monthly subsistence minimum - 190 manat. The allowance will be paid for the April-May months. According to the Action Plan approved by the Cabinet of Ministers on April 5 in connection with the impact of the Corona Virus epidemic on the country's economy, the government intends to help 200 thousand people.
By March 1 of this year, 90,779 unemployed were registered with employment agencies. Of these, only 501 were assigned unemployment insurance, the average amount of which is 338.9 manat. By that time, officially in Azerbaijan, there were 251 thousand unemployed.
On the eve of the opening of a medical mask production company in Sumgayit, President Ilham Aliyev, referring to the topic of anti-epidemic measures, said 600,000 people, including private entrepreneurs, were affected by the closure of jobs.----08B--
