Russian Railways to Cancel Trains in Communication with Azerbaijan
BAKU / MOSCOW, December 8 - RIA Novosti, Nigar Orujova. JSC Russian Railways from December 2014 cancels the train from Moscow to Baku, Rostov - Baku and Baku - Tyumen, the head of the press service of JSC Azerbaijan Railways Nadir Azmammadov said, which was confirmed by a representative of Russian Railways.
"The Russian side justified the closure of these flights with their uneconomical character," said Azmammadov. According to him, from December 16, the running of trains Rostov - Baku will be stopped. From December 18 Tyumen - Baku, and from 20 December Moscow - Baku will stop.
On December 14, 2014 instead of the passenger train Tyumen-Baku the train Tyumen - Makhachkala will be launched. "Tyumen is home to many Azerbaijanis, and for them I would like to announce that tickets for the route from Makhachkala will be available in Baku," said Azmammadov.
According to him, despite the closure of a number of Russian trains coming to Baku, Azerbaijan Railways will continue to implement its routes to Moscow and Kharkov.
The representative of the Russian Railways confirmed the fact of the cancellation of trains in communication with Azerbaijan for RIA Novosti, adding that it is a train formation of Federal Passenger Company (FPC, "daughter" of Russian Railways on the long-distance passenger transport). --0--
