SOCAR acquires a right to sell oil products in Turkey till 2028
SOCAR has obtained a license for sale of oil products at the Turkish market in the coming 15 years.
Turkish media reported that the license was issued for distribution of gasoline, diesel fuel and other oil products, The license was issue on January 10, 2013 and it is valid till January 10, 2028.
The Turkish energy market's regulator has earlier issued a license to SOCAR Gaz Ticaret A.S. for the wholesale of gas for the period of 30 years.
In early November 2012 SOCAR Turkey Energy jointly with Turkish Cig Enerji gas company established SOCAR Gaz Ticareti A.S. company for distribution of gas at the Turkish local market.
In 2016 SOCAR opened its own oil refinery in the Turkish city of Izmir. After that SOCAR plans to buy a network of gas filling stations in Turkey and start sale of oil products at the local market.-0-
