SOCAR received first oil from new platform on Guneshli field
On July 29, 2016 Azneft, production company of State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), put into operation the first operation well from the new production platform No 7 located on the shallow section of Guneshli field.
SOCAR press office reported that the well No 316 has been drilled to the productive bed Pereriva.
SOCAR reported that the daily production rate of the well is 80 tons of oil.
The well is being operated by 28 May Oil & Gas Production Department.
On March 14, 2016 SOCAR put into operation the platform No 7 on the Guneshli field. The platform has been installed on the sea depth of 48 meters and is designed to drill 20 operation wells, of which 6 gas ones and 16 oil ones.
* Development of the shallow section of the Guneshli field started in 1980. The field produces about 4.5 million tons of oil (it ensures 65% of entire oil production of SOCAR).—0—
