SSC reduced the number of mortgage transactions
State Securities Committee (SSC) of Azerbaijan registered in January-August 2014 deals with promissory notes in the amount of 28,814,510 manats (+ 62% as of 1 September last year).
According to the SSC http://www.scs.gov.az/upload/statistics/q_inv_avg14.pdf, for the reporting period they registered 19 transactions related to collateral (minus 17%) and 14 operations for additional registration of collateral (minus 26%) .
In January-August 2014 the State Committee for Securities registered 2,105 mortgage-backed securities (9%), and provided additional registration of 1,945 mortgage securities (+49%).
As previously reported, the SSC registered deals with promissory notes in the amount of 24,332,930 manat in 2013. --17D--

Azerbaijan’s imports of animal and vegetable fats and oils climbed 23.9% by weight and 16.2% by value from January to September 2024, official data revealed. Despite the uptick in volume, the import cost of these products saw a decrease compared to the same period last year, with the cost per ton of vegetable oil falling by 6.1% to $1,199.6 in 2024, down from $1,278.6 in 2023.
