Tariffs Not to Increase - President of AZAL
Increase in the prices of jet fuel by the Tariff (Price) Council will not affect the current rates of the national airline carrier Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL).
"The rise in fuel prices will have an impact on our costs, but will not affect the flight fares for passengers. We want to preserve the opportunity for citizens to travel and go on business trips at affordable prices,” the AZAL President Jahangir Asgarov said.
Prices of AZAL flights, like those of all airlines, are formed on a flexible schedule, depending on the departure dates and the filling of the flights, the press service of JSC Azerbaijan Airlines said.
In February this year, AZAL launched its own brand AZALJET, whose scheme of sale and flights is based on the low-budget carriers’ practice.
AZAL operates direct flights to 26 international destinations as well as domestic flights to Nakhchivan and Ganja. -------08D
