Tests Revealed no GMOs in Food
The laboratory analysis conducted in the Experimental Test Centre (AzTest) at the State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patents (SCSMP) did not reveal the presence of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) in agricultural plants, as well as the use of these materials in foods.
In SCSMP they told Turan that the trade network, sales outlets and markets were taken samples of products of 20 items, including rice, soybeans, corn, corn pickles, green peas, beans, cantaloupes, watermelons, cereals, potato chips, Italian ketchup, milky chocolate, etc.
The laboratory tests are partially completed. They have not given positive results.
According to the Law of AR "On food products," the use of GMOs in food production is prohibited. This activity, as well as import and sale of GMO products, is punishable by criminal law. ----08D
