Azersu JSC intends to speed up the installation of water meters. At the beginning of this year, only 47.5% of people (55,000) were equipped with water meters.
The Head of the Department of Public Relations of the company Anar Jabrayilly told Turan the supply of water measuring devices is conducted in two directions. "The project of modernization of water supply in 23 cities and districts of the country is also provided to supply all consumers with counters. In addition, Azersu is waiting for funding from the state budget for this year," he said.
In 2012 JSC Azersu installed 65,000 meters. Installed are counters of the "smart card" type. Only in Baku and on the Absheron peninsula they set up 19,700 of these counters in 2012. -08D-
