The Central Bank of Azerbaijan set the dollar exchange rate of manat on August 17 at the level 1.6164 manat per 1 US dollar, according to the CBA. It is almost by 0.25% lower than the rate on 16 August (1.6124). The euro exchange rate of August 17 will be 1.8057 AZN for 1 euro. Meanwhile, commercial banks sell the dollar for 1,67-1.68 manat, while the euro - for 1,86-1,87 manat. -02D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
