There are not real supporters of F.Gulen in Azerbaijan
Since the General Prosecutor's Office filed a lawsuit against supporters of Fetullah Gulem, it means that the law enforcement agencies have a specific target. However, the absence of real grounds for a lawsuit and the articles on which it has been initiated raises questions, said in an interview with Cətin Sual of Turan agency, the Ilham Ismayil, security expert, head of the Center for Security Studies. He said that the talks on supporters of Gülen in Azerbaijan appeared two days later after such a campaign was launched in Turkey.
Can there be the so-called "parallel state" in Azerbaijan about which speak the Turkish authorities? Answering this question, Ismayil said that he doubted the existence of such a structure. Although he admits that Azerbaijan has enough followers of the teachings of Nursi and Gülen specifically.
As for the confrontation between Erdogan and supporters of Gulen, most of Erdogan’s team members finished schools by Gulen, because they have long been companions. The first battle took place in December 2013, when Erdogan barely managed to recover revelations of corruption disclosed by people of Gulen in the law enforcement agencies. Erdogan left the battle weakened, but not defeated.
According to the expert, Erdogan’s difficult days are ahead.
After a couple of months the euphoria of victory over the conspirators will pass away, and tens of thousands of laid-off from the civil service, courts, prosecutors, schools and universities will join the opponents of Erdogan. They will be start an open political struggle, will create their own party, or join the opposition.
With regard to the presence of the supporters of Gulen in Azerbaijan, Ismayil said that they put energy and resources into education, law enforcement, the financial sector at the state level. "Therefore, the presence of GUlen’ supporters in the Azerbaijani opposition is something unreal," said Ismayil.
However, the Azerbaijani authorities may launch a campaign against those who studied in Gülen’s schools. The expert did not rule out that the security services can take control of the graduates of the University "Caucasus", and those who worked in the structures associated with Gulen.—06D-
