Kobakhidze offers Baku and Yerevan abstract co-operation
Georgia offers a trilateral cooperation initiative involving all three countries of the South Caucasus. This was stated by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on 17 January in Baku at the opening of the meeting of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation between Georgia and Azerbaijan.
‘Georgia offers the parties a trilateral cooperation initiative, which implies participation of all three South Caucasus countries in various directions,’ Kobakhidze said, without explaining what exactly he means.
Touching upon bilateral co-operation, he expressed conviction that there are opportunities to expand the strategic partnership between the two countries.
He further expressed an opinion that ‘by joint efforts it will be possible to overcome the existing difficulties’.
