Trading foreign exchange in October fell by almost 8%
BAKU/20.12.13/TURAN : Turnover of non-cash foreign exchange transactions in September 2013 amounted to the equivalent of 2 951 million ($ 3.8 billion ) , a decrease over the month by 7.7%. In just 10 months of this year amounted to 30.65 Exchange turnover billion manat. Compared to the same period last year, it increased by 15.5%.
The volume of cash transactions in U.S. dollars in October amounted to $ 1068 million that is $ 31 million or 3 % more than in September . During the reporting period the volume of purchases of the currency increased by 3.7% of sales - by 2.7%. Compared to the same period in 2012 January- October this year, the total turnover of the cash exchange operations with U.S. currency rose by $ 362 million or 3.7 % , to $ 10,074 billion.
The volume of transactions with euro cash for ten months in 2013 amounted to 2814 million (units of the relevant currency ), which is 34.3 percent more than last year .
The total turnover of the cash exchange operations in January-October of this year with the Russian ruble and the British pound was equal to 14,226 million , respectively, and 54.2 million.
Average exchange rate of U.S. dollar cash to manat in October decreased by 1 point , and for the past 12 months - by 10 basic points to 0.7843 AZN for 1 USD. - 15B-
