Turkey imports 5 million tons of oil from Iran
Baku/18.10.13/Turan; Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Taner Yildiz said at the World Energy Congress in South Korea that in 2014 Turkey will import minimum 5 million tons of crude oil from Iran, reported ICNA agency.
Turkish Minister said that next year and this year Turkey will buy about 5 million tons of oil in Iran (100,000 barrels a day) and if import of Iranian oil is less, Turkey’s energy safety will be under threat.
During the past ten years demand in energy carriers in Turkey doubled and during the next 10 years it will double again.
Yildiz also reminded that Turkey will receive 10 billion cub.m. of natural gas from Iran and it will increase the volume of import, if it is possible, reported Iran News.—0—
