Two New Metro Stations Opened in Baku
Today, with the participation of the President of Azerbaijan, two metro stations were opened in Baku – Bus Station and Memar Ajami 2 on the new Purple Line.
Unlike the two existing lines, the length of the platforms at the new stations is 144 meters, which allows the arrival of trains of seven cars, rather than five.
The Bus Station subway station and the passenger crossings have been installed 20 escalators of different levels and 8 other facilities for travelers. Memar Ajami has been installed 17 escalators.
The head of the Baku Metro, Zaur Huseynov said by 2030 it is planned to build three new lines and 53 metro stations. The total number of lines and station will reaches 5 and 76, respectively. -06D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.

Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met today with Ahmed Moallim Figi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Somalia, at the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
