US and Azerbaijan Fund Medical Center
Residents of Gudajuhur village of the Sabirabad district celebrated the construction of a new medical facility. The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Health, local Executive Committee, and municipal government. The project was co-financed by USAID and the Government of Azerbaijan and implemented by the East-West Management Institute (EWMI) under the Socio-Economic Development Activity (SEDA).
With technical support from EWMI, Gudajuhur village residents worked with their local and regional governments to replace an aging medical point with a new facility able to meet the community's healthcare needs. The new facility, which includes one examination room and one hallway for a waiting room, will improve the day-to-day access to healthcare for more than 1,600 people in Gudajuhur village.
In total, EWMI has implemented 81 projects in 71 communities benefiting more than 110,000 people around Azerbaijan with USAID support. Through SEDA, EWMI promotes cooperation between citizens, civil society organizations, and government to advance socio-economic development. -0--

In many cases, bread packaging does not include weight details. Similarly, bread sold at smaller bakeries and tandir houses often lacks information apart from the price.
