Uzbekistan wants to join the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars project
A number of important agreements has been achieved during the visit of President of Uzbekistan to neighboring Turkmenistan. According to the Uzbek media, the parties discussed also the routes of energy sources of the two countries to Western markets, and expressed the interest in the implementation of the transport project "Navoi - Turkmenbashi - Baku - Tbilisi - Kars."
Joint statement of the presidents reads that the use of the corridor will provide broad access to international energy markets of the two countries. -02D-
