In the US, they told when a meeting between Putin and Biden is possible
WASHINGTON/30.03.22/TASS: Washington proceeds from the fact that a meeting between US President Joe Biden and Russian President Vladimir Putin is possible only in the event of a significant de-escalation in Ukraine and a demonstration by Moscow of the mood for diplomatic cooperation. This statement was made on Tuesday at a briefing for journalists by White House Communications Director Kate Bedingfield.
"I think he [Biden] said quite clearly that it would depend on what Mr. Putin wants to talk about," she said when asked if the American leader was ready to meet with the Russian president. "I will not set the conditions for a conversation between Presidents Biden and Putin. <...> President Biden clearly stated that before there is such a dialogue, a tangible de-escalation on the part of Russia and a clear, sincere commitment to diplomatic interaction is required," Bedingfield added.
Biden said on Monday that he did not rule out the possibility of a new face-to-face meeting with Putin. The American leader noted that the prospect of organizing potential negotiations depends on their agenda.—0-
