Rishi Sunak landed in Israel and supported the country in the fight against terrorism
israelinfo: British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak landed in Israel on October 19 on a solidarity visit. Upon arrival, he condemned the "horrific terrorist act" carried out by Hamas on October 7 and stated that the UK supports Israel. Before the flight, Sunak urged the British not to believe the propaganda of Hamas, just as they do not believe the propaganda of the Kremlin - and not to rush to accuse Israel of war crimes on the basis of Hamas allegations.
He added that he was looking forward to today's meetings with Prime Minister Netanyahu and President Herzog, and expressed hope that these would be useful meetings.
Sunak will try to do what Biden failed to do yesterday - visit neighboring countries in the region to convince them to calm the situation.
Meanwhile, the IDF said it has contact with the families of 203 hostages in Gaza. In addition, two hundred more bodies were found as a result of the Hamas massacre on October 7.
More than forty thousand people are being evacuated from the north of Israel, there are no more places in hotels, they are going to be placed in schools. Local councils object to this. The period for which people will be in the common room on a mattress is not defined.
