Sargsyan’s Team Retained Power in Parliamentary Elections
The Central Election Commission of Armenia announced the preliminary results of the processing of ballots in the parliamentary elections on April 2.
The ruling Republican Party is gaining more than 49% of the vote. The bloc Tsarukyan is gaining more than 27%, the bloc Elk is gaining 7.75%, and Dashnaktsutyun is gaining 6.59%.
The remaining blocs and parties did not overcome the 5% barrier: the bloc Ohanyan-Raffi-Oskanian is gaining 2.08%, the bloc Congress-NPA is gaining 1.63%, the Free Democrats Party is gaining 0.94%, and the Communist Party of Armenia is gaining 0.75%.
The turnout in the elections was more than 60%, although the opposition reported a significant vote fraud. -02D-
