Ukrainian strike destroys Russian ammunition depot and command post in occupied Crimea
THE NEW VOICE OF UKRAINE: A Russian ammunition depot near the temporarily occupied Crimean village of Pervomaiske was destroyed in a Ukrainian strike on Jan. 4, the Ukrainian Stratcom reported on Telegram on Jan. 5.
Ukraine’s strike has caused severe damage to the peninsula’s defense system. The spokeswoman for the Joint Coordination Press Center of the Southern Defense Forces, Natalia Humenyuk, said that the enemy described it as the "most massive" of the recent attacks.
Ukrainian Air Force Commander Mykola Oleshchuk thanked the pilots and all those involved in the planning of the operation and hinted that he was waiting for an "epic report" from Russian propagandists in Sevastopol and Yevpatoriya.
The Ukrainian military hit the Russian command post near occupied Sevastopol during the attack, the Stratcom reported on the same day.
The targeted command post was in the area of Yukharina Balka, where the 31st Air Defense Division of the Russian Aerospace Forces is located, according to the Krymsky Veter (CrimeanWind) and Krym.Realii Telegram channels.
The Russian Defense Ministry claimed 36 drones had been destroyed in Crimea and another one in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai.
100 people, including 15 children, were evacuated from a remote area near Sevastopol to destroy a missile, Russian propagandists claim occupation “authorities” head Mikhail Razvozhaev ordered on Jan. 4.
