TURAN reported in Market Review N79 in early July that building materials had permanently gone up in prices in January-June 2004. They went up by 3-30% or by 16% on average. This upward trend has continued since then, concerning both imported and locally produced building materials. Building companies say locally produced materials do not meet the demand, while monopolization and artificially formed lack of materials cause the prices to increase....
