200 Yezidi families from Iraq settled in Karabakh
Yerevan. 21.08.14 / Turan-.ArmInfo: The World Union of Yezidis decided to settle in Karabakh 200 Yezidi families - refugees from northern Iraq. This was announced by the head of the Yezidi community in Armenia Aziz Tamoyan.
According to him, the authorities in Karabakh expressed their willingness to receive Yezidi families. Yezidis of Armenia have already started raising funds to be spent on travel expenses of these families," said Tamoyan.
Earlier, the Karabakh separatists’ representative David Babayan said that Karabakh is ready to accept the Yezidis of Iraq. Where it is planned to resettle the Yezidis has not been reported. -02D-
