A meeting may be held in Fountain Square Oct. 20
The presidential candidate of the National Council of Democratic Forces (NCDF) Jamil Gasanli urged citizens to take an active part in Sunday's protests against the rigged presidential elections.
Gasanli warned that if the authorities do not authorize a rally at the stadium Mehsul, he will call people to gather in Fountain Square in the center of Baku. This was stated by Gasanli on the on-line television, MeydanTV, broadcasting from Europe.
He also spoke about his meetings in the European institutions, where they talked about the election fraud.
Yesterday the Baku Mayor's Office spokesman said the appeal on the holding of a meeting by the National Council had not been received by the city administration. However, the organisers have extended the scanned image of the stamp from the post office, where the letter was sent to the Mayor still on October 14. -03B-
