A state commission for the accident at Heating Electric Station (HES) was created
Baku / 03.07.18 / Turan: By the order of President Ilham Aliyev, a state commission has been set up in connection with accidents at HES in Mingachevir.On July 3 an accident occurred at the substation of the "Azerbaijan Thermal Power Plant" LLC in Mingachevir. In connection with this, the supply of electricity to 39 cities and regions of the country, including the cities of Baku and Ganja, was disrupted. As a result of urgent measures, the power supply was restored within a few hours. The President decided to create a state commission to investigate the causes and eliminate the consequences. The first deputy prime minister Yagub Eyyubov was appointed chairman of the commission.
The commission includes the ministers of energy, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Prosecutor General, the Chief of the State Security Service, the President of Azerenerji OJSC, the Chairman of Azərisıq OJSC, the head of the executive power of Mingachevir, the director of the Institute of Physics of the National Academy of Sciences.
The State Commission is charged with investigating the causes of the accident, informing the president, identifying and taking urgent measures to eliminate the consequences of the accident.
Law enforcement authorities are charged with investigating the causes of the accident, identifying the perpetrators and bringing them to justice.
Explosion on the 1 st and 6 th blocks of the power plant occurred on the night of 2 to 3 July. As a result, the country was de-energized. The cause of the accident is officially called excessive use of electricity by the population as a result of sharp heat.-0-
