Abdollahian assured Aliyev of a "very serious investigation" of the terrorist attack against the Azerbaijani embassy in Iran
Baku/05.07.23/Turan:Today, the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev received Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Amir Abdollahian, who is in Baku to attend the conference of the Coordinating Bureau of the Non-Accession Movement. According to the website of the head of state, the Iranian minister noted the "positive dynamics in the expansion of trade and economic ties" of the two countries, the important role of Azerbaijan and Iran in the development of the North-South transport corridor.
Speaking about the "very serious investigation" of the terrorist act against the Azerbaijani embassy in Tehran by the judicial and law enforcement agencies of this country, Abdollahian expressed hope that the activities of the diplomatic mission will be restored soon.
In turn, Aliyev expressed hope that those responsible for the terrorist attack on the Azerbaijani people will be adequately punished. During the conversation, the recent positive dynamics of the development of trade and economic ties, the North-South transport corridor were noted, and along with this, an exchange of views also took place on the prospects for the creation of communication routes between the East Zangezur Economic Region of Azerbaijan and another part of the country - the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
