About a thousand people are waiting at the border with Dagestan for being transported to Azerbaijan
Baku / 01.09.20 / Turan: Almost a thousand citizens of Azerbaijan are waiting near the village of Kullar in Dagestan for the transpotation to the Azerbaijani side.
On August 31 the head of the Magaramkent region of Dagestan, Farid Ahmedov, said, there were 960 people at the Yarag-Kazmalyar checkpoint, including women with children. The issue of sending compatriots home is regulated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.
More than 400 people are transported across the land border from Russia to Azerbaijan every week.
Starting from March 18, due to the threat of the corona virus pandemic, state borders between Azerbaijan and Russia were closed. As a result, several thousand Azerbaijanis remained on the Russian side. Since then, the Azerbaijani authorities have periodically organized corridors, bringing the compatriot home in groups of 200-400 people. -02D-
