Action against SOCAR in Switzerland
Yesterday the organization of Azerbaijanis in Europe, "International Association of Law and Justice" held a protest in front of the office of SOCAR subsidiary in Geneva - "SOCAR Trading SA".
The action participants stated opacity in SOCAR oil supplies to world markets through "SOCAR Trading SA". According to them, the oil is sold through offshore companies, and the money is deposited "on personal estimates of individuals."
Swiss Professor A. Schaerer regretted that corrupt deals are made through registered companies in his country. He urged the government of the country to investigate the activities of these companies.
Earlier, SOCAR leadership denied allegations of any illegal actions of their Swiss subsidiaries.
Recall that SOCAR this year purchased by tender a fuel station network in Switzerland. -06D-
