Action on January 12 will be the beginning of big changes in the country

Press conference of young activists fined for the participation  the action  on January 12 on Friday took place  in the Media Center.

The head of the office of the  Jalilabad  branch of PPFA, Tazahan Miralamli, said he was not going  pay the fine because he was only  expressing his civil position, and should not be punished for that.

The blogger Emin Milli regarded  the action of protest on January 12, as an event that  will be remembered in the history of Azerbaijan. "This event was a turning point. All the big coups

begin with a small campaign," he said.

The lawyer  of young activists, Asabali Mustafayev, said that  he will send the cases of the  fined to the Court of Appeal. "In this action the authorities wanted to test the new law, trying to stop the people's participation in  the actions.  In spite of this, the action has become the  mass one.

Twenty five participants were fined a large sum, and if the Court of Appeal leaves them in  force, we will appeal to the Supreme Court," said the lawyer.

Head of Organization "Positive Change", Narmin Rahimli, reported that as a result of donations, 481 people gathered 6135 manats. There is also private donations, and collective. Among these groups are  newspapers, shopping centers and universities. People in Germany, Turkey, Russia, Canada and other countries also joined the campaign  “five gepiks.”

As you know, for participation in  the action on  12 January, 25  participants were fined  from 300 to 600 manat, total fine is 10,500 manat. -26D04-
