Actions in defense of Gubad Ibadoglu will be held in 52 cities of the world
Baku/11.09.23/Turan: On September 12, the arrested oppositionist and economist Gubad Ibadoglu turns 52. On this day, actions in defense of his rights will be held in various cities around the world, his brother Galib Bayramov told. According to him, the demonstrations will be held under the slogan: "52 cities 52 actions".
The first action has already taken place in Dili, the capital of East Timor, where September 12 has already arrived. On Tuesday, the actions will be held in various cities of the USA, Germany, Belgium, France, Turkey, Poland, Great Britain, Hungary, Denmark, Norway, the Netherlands, Georgia and Sweden and other countries.
Representatives of human rights organizations, public figures, and journalists will take part in the actions.
Recall that in Azerbaijan, Gubad Ibadoglu is accused of making counterfeit money. At the same time, he is accused of having links with supporters of Fethullah Gulen, a Turkish preacher whom the Turkish authorities consider to be the organizers of the attempted coup in Turkey in 2016.
Gubad Ibadoglu denies the accusations, considering them absurd. Many international organizations and officials have called on official Baku to immediately release the politician. ---16B---
