Jeyhun Bayramov to address the UN Human Rights Council
Baku/11.09.23/Turan: Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov will speak at the 54th plenary session of the UN Human Rights Council, to be held in Geneva on September 11 - October 6.
The speech of the Azerbaijani minister is scheduled for 10:00 local time on September 13, director of the Institute for Freedom and Security of Reporters (ISDB) Emin Huseynov told Turan.
According to him, Bayramov's speech will take place at the hearings around the annual report of the UN Commissioner for Human Rights. The Minister's personal participation is obviously connected with the upcoming discussion of the Universal Periodic Report on Azerbaijan in the Council in November.
After the Minister's 10-minute speech, debates will take place, during which representatives of the member states of the UN Human Rights Council will speak, and the rest of the states - for 1.5 minutes.
The ISDB, as a partner organization of the Council, will also have the opportunity to speak at the session. In addition, on September 15, the ISDB will hold in Geneva in the building of the UN office: "Parallel discussions" on the human rights situation in Azerbaijan. ---06B--
