Agreement Signed on Supply of Vaccines against COVID-19 to Azerbaijan
Baku / 21.09.20 / Turan: The State Health Insurance Agency of Azerbaijan and the GAVI (Global Alliance for Vaccines) organization signed agreements on the provision of vaccines against COVID-19.
After the production of the vaccine is confirmed by WHO, Azerbaijan will be provided with the vaccine, along with other states-participants, the Joint Administration of Territorial Medical Units said in a statement.
Vaccination at the first stage of 20% of the population may be sufficient to effectively control the epidemiological situation. The vaccine should have 50% protection against the virus and have minimal side effects, the message says.
The GAVI organization was founded in 2000. The central office of the organization is located in Geneva. –06D-
