Aliyev invited Pezeshkian to visit Azerbaijan
The head of Azerbaijan congratulated the newly elected Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on his victory in the elections and wished him success.
According to the website of the President of Azerbaijan, Pezeshkian during a telephone conversation stated that he would make every effort to further develop relations between the two countries in all areas.
The parties expressed confidence that Azerbaijani-Iranian relations, based on common religious and cultural roots, friendship and brotherhood, will continue to expand.
The heads of state emphasized the importance of implementing the agreements previously reached between the two countries.
President Aliyev invited Pezeshkian to visit Azerbaijan.
Having gratefully accepted the invitation, Pezeshkian, in turn, invited Aliyev to make an official visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran.
