Baku / 12.03.20 / Turan: The ban on entry into the US from European countries announced on the eve does not apply to Azerbaijan. The restriction applies only to 26 countries of the Schengen area. US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Lee Litzenberger said this in an interview with Turan.
“The restriction does not apply to Azerbaijan, however, if non-Schengen zone citizens arrive in Europe and from there go to the USA, the ban will affect them,” the Ambassador emphasized.
The ban will be reviewed after 30 days, he added. According to the Ambassador, the US is actively cooperating with the Azerbaijani authorities on the fight against the spread of Corona Virus. -03D-
