Ankara and Washington discussed Kazakhstan and Armenia
Baku/11.01.22/Turan: Press Secretary of the President of Turkey Ibrahim Kalyn and White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan on Tuesday discussed efforts to quickly normalize the situation in Kazakhstan.
Anadolu agency reported that efforts of the Organization of Turkic States in this direction were noted.
Turkish-American relations and regional issues were also discussed. In particular, the parties exchanged views on the prospects for political and economic ties between Ankara and Washington, as well as prospects for expanding cooperation in the field of defense.
The Turkish side indicated the need to resolve the Ukrainian crisis through dialogue and interaction, and Ankara's readiness to help this in every possible way. The emphasis was placed on the importance that Turkey attaches to the preservation of the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
The process of normalization of relations between Turkey and Armenia was touched upon. It was emphasized that the establishment of permanent peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia will contribute to regional stability and prosperity. -16D-
