Baku / 07.09.17 / Turan: American senator Richard Durbin proposed an amendment to the agenda of the United States Senate on imposing sanctions against Azerbaijani officials involved in the arrest of Mehman Aliyev, the director of the Turan news agency. The document provides for a ban on the entry to the US of all officials related to the arrest of Aliyev, the Azerbaijani service of the Voice of America reports.The amendment requests the US Secretary of State to identify officials who will be subject to sanctions.
