Armenian Side Reports on Detention of Azerbaijani Who Crossed Border
Baku / 11.12.20 / Turan: On the night of December 10, an Azerbaijani was detained in the border village of Berdavan, Tavush region of Armenia. According to local residents, he was spotted early in the morning near a rural bakery. The detainee was transferred to the National Security Service of Armenia.
In turn, the press service of the National Security Service reported that a criminal case was opened on the fact of illegal border crossing. The name of the detainee is not reported.
"We received operational information that the man crossed the state border of Armenia. During the search work, he was found and detained. A criminal case has been initiated and he has the status of a suspect," Sputnik Armenia quotes an NSS spokesman.
The Azerbaijani side has not yet commented on this fact. Note that the village of Berdavan borders on the village of Kamarli in the Gazakh region of Azerbaijan. -02D-
