At a meeting of the Milli Majlis deputies on Tuesday touched the situation in Ukraine.
MP Faraj Guliyev described the situation in Crimea as occupation. "Regardless of us, the world accepts it so. Let members of the Azerbaijani-Ukrainian and Azerbaijani- Russian parliamentary friendship group will hold a meeting, and then groups will be assigned to Ukraine and Russia," said the deputy.
He fears that the observation position of official Baku will adversely affect the settlement of the Karabakh conflict, as Ukraine can take a supervisory position in this matter.
MM Speaker Asadov said in response that he does not consider it right to express relationship to the issue by the Milli Majlis. The conflict between Ukraine and Russia is their internal affair. "Everyone knows that they are friendly countries. If there is any dissatisfaction between them, they will be able to resolve the issue . It would be wrong if Azerbaijan somehow expresses its attitude. We support a peaceful solution based on negotiations," said the speaker .
MP Etibar Huseynov called wrong the fact that the Azerbaijani flag is fluttering in the Maidan. According to him, the Russian TV channels show it, and that can irritate Russia. -16D04-
