Azerbaijan and Armenia accepted Russia's proposal
Baku/28.07.21/Turan: Azerbaijan accepted the proposal of the Russian side to declare a ceasefire on the border with Armenia from 09:00 Moscow time on July 28. This was reported on Wednesday by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the republic.
"We have accepted the initiative of the Russian side to declare a ceasefire on the Armenian-Azerbaijani state border from 10:00 Baku time (09:00 Moscow time)," the message says.
At the same time, according to the Defense Ministry, the Armenian side continues to fire at the positions of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces using tanks and mortars, TASS reports.
The Armenian Foreign Ministry confirmed the agreement on a ceasefire on the border with Azerbaijan, Sputnik Armenia reports.
On Wednesday morning, the parties accused each other of aggression. In Azerbaijan, two wounded were reported, and in Armenia, three were killed and two injured.
On Wednesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin held an operational meeting with permanent members of the Security Council, discussed the socio-economic development of Russia, the situation in Afghanistan and on the border of Armenia and Azerbaijan, the press secretary of the head of state Dmitry Peskov told reporters.—0—
