Azerbaijan and Iran signed a memorandum on the construction of a bridge across Astarachay
Baku/10.06.21/Turan: On June 9, Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev and Iranian Minister of Roads Mohammad Islami signed a memorandum of understanding on the construction of a road bridge across the Astarachay River in Baku.
According to the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers, during the meeting, the parties expressed views that the liberation of the territories of Azerbaijan has created new opportunities for cooperation in the region. The full restoration of the Azerbaijani-Iranian border is expected to open the way for implementation of new projects between the two countries.
According to the Iranian party, the cost of the project is 4.7 million euros to be implemented within 12 months. A share of each party is 50%. -02D-

On January 21, the Baku Serious Crimes Court continued the trial of the Abzas Media case. The court heard testimony from the director of the publication, Ulvi Hasanly, who rejected the charges against him. Hasanly stated that Abzas Media was engaged in investigations into corruption at the highest levels of government, covering societal issues, and defending citizens' rights. He believes that these activities provoked the authorities' anger towards the journalists.
