Azerbaijan experienced Turkish military helicopters
In the near future new Turkish combat helicopters ATAK (T-129) will be tested in Nakhchivan. Azerbaijan intends to purchase them from the Turkish company TAI.
According to sources in the Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan, talks about the possible acquisition and co-production of these helicopters were carried out during the recent visit to Turkey of the Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov.
According to some reports, Azerbaijan may purchase up to 60 helicopters ATAK. According to the international classification, helicopters of this type correspond to the Russian MI-24, American Cobra and other combat vehicles in its class.
