Azerbaijan Is Stable President Ilham Aliyev
Baku / 11.01.18 / Turan: Stability is the main priority of the Azerbaijani government. This opinion was expressed by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, speaking at the Cabinet meeting on Wednesday on the results of 2017.
He called stability the main condition for the country's economic success.
The growth of exports, the turnovers from tourism, the growth of the non-oil sector testify to the correct policy of the country's leadership, Aliyev said,
Touching upon political issues, he noted the invariability of Azerbaijan's position on the Karabakh problem, and the solution of the problem on the basis of the principle of territorial integrity.
"Nagorno-Karabakh is our primordial land. So it was always, it is today and so it will be tomorrow; the solution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is possible only within the territorial integrity of our country. There is no other way," he said.
Azerbaijan will build up its military power. 80% of military towns, bases and units already meet international standards. The Azerbaijani army will continue to grow.
Aliyev called an important task strengthening of solidarity with the Islamic world and propaganda of multiculturalism.
Successful economic policy allows Azerbaijan to pursue an independent foreign policy, Aliyev noted.
Unlike previous meetings, Aliyev did not criticize the Western circles and the local opposition for trying to break this stability. -02D-
