Azerbaijani army urged to be ready to "repel any provocation"
An expanded meeting of the board on the results of the first half of 2024 was held at the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan on August 3. The meeting, held in a video link format under the chairmanship of Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov, was attended by the leadership of the department and its individual departments and departments, commanders of types of troops (forces), commanders of military formations.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Defense, "the urgent measures taken by the units of the Azerbaijani Army in connection with the provocations committed by Armenia, armed by its patrons, on the conditional border in order to aggravate the situation in the region, and the current operational situation were analyzed."
The leadership of the Ministry presented detailed reports on certain areas of the army's activities. Summing up the meeting, the Defense Minister recalled President Aliyev's words about the need to "be ready to repel any provocation."
"The level of combat training and professionalism of the Azerbaijani Army should always be at the highest level so that no one can speak to us in the language of dictate and ultimatum," Hasanov said, without specifying the recipients of his message.
