Azerbaijani defense and security expenditures to amount 4.5 bln AZN in 2022
Baku/10.11.21/Turan: As set forth in the draft state budget of Azerbaijan for 2022, allocations for defense and security will amount to 4 billion 490 million manats ($2 billion 600 million) which makes up 15% of total budget expenditures.
Speaking at the November 10 session of the Parliament, Finance Minister Samir Sharifov said that strengthening of defense capability and national security, construction of military units in the liberated territories, reliable protection of the state border are priority areas of state expenditures.
In 2022, 500 million manats ($294 million) will be spent on the renewal of the arsenal of arms, and the amount of special defense spending will be 2 billion 100 million manats ($1 billion 235 million).- 05D06-
