Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry urges Netherlands to assess Khojaly genocide
Baku / 23.02.18 / Turan: Baku considers unfounded the decision of the Lower Chamber of the Parliament of the Netherlands, which recognized the so-called "Armenian genocide," the press secretary of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Hikmet Hajiyev said. Armenia, since the end of the 1980s, carried out numerous war crimes against the peaceful Azerbaijani population.
"On February 26, 1992, under the command of the current military and political leadership of Armenia, a genocide was committed against the inhabitants of the Azerbaijani Khojaly in Nagorno-Karabakh," he said.
The Parliament of the Netherlands should abandon double standards, and on the eve of the 26th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide give an objective assessment of these events, he said. -02D-
