Azerbaijani Political Emigrants Call to Perpetuate the Memory of AHP
The Council of National Unity of European Azerbaijanis held on May 25 in Rotterdam a round table devoted to the 95th anniversary of the People's Republic of Azerbaijan (AHP). The event was attended by political emigrants from Azerbaijan and other former Soviet countries.
The head of the Majlis Council Atakhan Abilov told about the history, values, achievements and merits of AHP. Following the meeting, an appeal was made to the government of Azerbaijan, which is critical of the lack of attention to perpetuate the memory of the founders of the AHP.
The authors of the state commission called for a large-scale celebration of the AHP this year and to erect a monument to Mahammad Amin Rasulzadeh on Azadlig Square, and return the name of Rasulzadeh to BSU.
The appeal was signed by Abilov, Fikret Huseynli, Bahruz Aliyev, Ibrahim Rejai, Assad Gasimov, Kamal Gasimov, Azer Agayev, Rauf Rasulov, Ali Hajily, Ilkin Alirzaev and Azer Ramizoglu. -06D -
