Baku/29.10.20/Turan: Representatives of the Azerbaijani diaspora in Russia are extremely worried about the unbridled anti-Azerbaijan propaganda of pro-Armenian experts on Russian TV channels. This is stated in an address by the President of the Federal National Committee of Azerbaijanis of Russia - AzerRos, member of the Council for Interethnic Relations under the President of the Russian Federation Mehriban Sadigova   to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“These actions of a number of Russian media outlets to openly support separatism run counter to the interests of Russia and the peacekeeping position you voiced.

At the same time, Armenia, grossly violating its obligations under the Geneva Convention, also initiates the involvement of representatives of the Armenian diaspora in Russia to participate in hostilities on the territory of Azerbaijan, providing financial and political support to the illegal regime of Nagorno-Karabakh, ”the appeal says.

“We, Russian Azerbaijanis, highly appreciate your close attention to what is happening on the Azerbaijani lands, fully supporting your efforts aimed at a just resolution of this conflict on the basis of international law and within the territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan. But we are very worried about the incessant attempts of the pro-Western regime of Armenia to involve Russia in hostilities in order to unleash a large-scale war in the South Caucasus and transfer the conflict to the territory of Russia itself,” the address says.

“We, the Azerbaijanis of Russia, citizens of our multinational state, not only hope but are convinced that you, Vladimir Vladimirovich, thanks to your balanced and objective position, will be able to contribute to a fair resolution of this long-standing confrontation in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone, taking into account the withdrawal of the occupying forces. Armenia beyond the internationally recognized borders of Azerbaijan, in accordance with the adopted resolutions of the UN Security Council,” reads  the appeal. -02D-
